Compability
What kind of device do I need to stream my music?
Any device that has Bluetooth, including your smart phone, tablet, laptop or PC. For best sound quality use a device with apt-X enabled.
What kind of digital music sources can I play?
aiFi can play any music you can access and listen to with your device. That means any online streaming sites or Internet radio (rdio, Youtube, Spotify, iTunes Radio, TuneIn, etc.), and any format of music stored on your device, on your home network, NAS server, or in the Cloud.
What kind of wired analog sources can I use with aiFi?
A built-in analog input will accept a 2.5V RMS analog signal, allowing you to plug in any analog sound source using a standard 3.5mm audio connector.
What kind of wired digital sources can I use with aiFi?
The optical digital input is perfect for a home theater system, AppleTV, Roku or cable box, or the sound bar output on your TV.

Streaming music to aiFi
How easy is it to connect my device and start playing music?
Very. Simply power up your aiFi and pair your device by turning Bluetooth on and selecting “aiFi-Sam” in the menu. You only need to pair the device once; it will remain stored in its memory for future use.
How close does my device need to be to the aiFi?
Normal Bluetooth standard, approximately 10 meters.
Can I pair multiple devices to my aiFi?
Yes, aiFi can pair multiple devices and the information will stay stored in your device for future listening. However, aiFi can only be connected to and play from one source at a time.

Portability
How portable is aiFi?
aiFi fits in your pocket, is lightweight, yet sturdy. It comes with a soft case that fits adaptor and optional cables if you want to travel with it.

Battery
Does it have an internal battery?
Yes, aiFi has an internal battery which recharges when plugged in. It takes just under two hours to recharge and the battery lasts 8–12 hours – depending on what kind of music and volume you are playing.

Why Bluetooth
In the past, Bluetooth was not optimized for audio and still holds some bad credit because of this history. But a lot of things have improved over the years. aptX™ audio decoding designed for better than full resolution CD quality streaming and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) are enabled to bring out the best sound in your digital music.

aiFi’s Bluetooth solution is compatible with iOS, OSX, Android, Windows and other various Bluetooth pairable devices.

Product finish
Does aiFi come in any finish variants?
The standard finish is brushed aluminum and there is a limited edition in titanium.

Locking System
What are the two “lugs” with holes in them on the backside?
These are the dual Kensington compatible locks to facilitate locking several units together either with security wires or with future custom-made attachments for various applications.
